Easton Update: May 6, 2005

Well, it's been one week since we've had Easton home. Let me tell you one thing, this experience has been one of the toughest I've been through, and I jumped out of a plane once. :-)

Easton is doing very well and at the last weigh in he was at about 5 lbs 8 oz. Tami and I have been very tired lately and she mentioned that these first few days have been tougher than she thought they were going to be. We knew there would be a lot of work, but this first week has been an eye opener. Easton is by no means is a collicy (unconsolable) baby. He just likes to eat and poop a lot. He also seems to like to sleep a little more during the day and not as long at night. Which puts a little more pressure on Tami and myself.

We've also given Easton a couple of baths this past week. He doesn't mind so much when Tami washes his hair, but put him in the tub and he starts to cry something fierce. :-) It might just take some getting used to. There is also the diaper changing dramas we go through. Tami and I have wittnessed and been caught up in the fire hose routine and you don't want to know about the projectile poop incedent we had. Just let me say we're glad we bought the dresser we did or our TV would have a nice mustard yellow side to it now.

A special thanks goes out to Tami's mom and my parents for helping us out this past week. Also Tami's sisters Jennifer for making us lasagna and Andrea for the diapers. Thanks again.
