Easton Update: June 19, 2005

Sorry for the lack of updates this past little while. Easton turned 2 months old on June 18th. Yeah! We've had him home for just over seven weeks and I've had two colds in that time frame. I usually don't get sick either but Easton sneezed on me a few times and I'm going to say that's what caused them. Tami must have some super antibodies coursing through her system though as she seems to be immune to anything I've had.

Tami and I are doing fine. Taking care of a baby is still hard work. We thought we turned a corner when Easton gave us a few good nights in a row but all has changed back to "I'm going to keep Tami up most of the night because I'm hungry all the time". And no that's not me! :-)

Below is a picture of Easton during bath time. We have a picture of him peeing in the tub (with a nice arch and all) but I don't think we need to post that on the internet. I remember Tami giving him his first bath. Boy did he scream. He seems to be taking a liking to them now as you can see by this picture below. I'm not going to say that I give better baths then Tami but why else would he only scream for her. :-) In any event, Tami tells me bath time is now daddy time. When it's nice outside Tami has taken Easton for walks in the stroller. It works really well and he seems to be comfortable enough to sleep most of the time while she chugs around Riverbend.

As I'm writing this right now at 1:30 in the morning, Easton is beside me semiconscious in his little blue basket, and no it's not his bath tub :-). Sometimes when he has a hard time sleeping in his crib I'll take him downstairs with me until he falls asleep and then gently take him upstairs and hope he doesn't wake up. This way Tami can get a little better sleep without Easton wailing into the baby monitor. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but if anything Tami gets a little quiet sleep time.

It was also Father's Day today and I received a gift from Tami and Easton. They got me the Hero DVD and Common's new CD entitle Be. We also went to Halfmoon with Tami's mom and sister Jennifer. It was really nice to get out to enjoy the beautiful weather. Easton also enjoys car rides and Tami bought a little mosquito net for his car seat. Which we used while we sat outside at Halfmoon. Well it looks like Easton is finally asleep, and I need to get some as well. Take care.
