Easton Update: June 20, 2006 - BREAKING NEWS

Easton started walking all by himself. Easton was busy tonight finding his legs. He was walking all by himself outside in the backyard and then downstairs when we came in. Below is a short video of him walking. I didn't even have to coax him, he just decided he was going to try to walk. We'll see if he can keep this up tomorrow. Goodnight.

Easton Update: June 18, 2006

Hello all,

As always this past month was very busy. We headed to Regina May long weekend to see Tami's uncle and Grandma who live out there. Note: The header you see at the top of the page was a picture taken on our trip out to Regina. A small little town we passed has a business Easton owns that we never knew of. Sheesh 14 months old and already owns his own business. :-)

Easton has also started to walk, but he always wants to hold someone's hand, or even just a pinky. We do have a little walker on wheels that he'll take for strolls around the house by himself. Always wanting to be outside, we find ourselves in the evening on the front steps while Easton plays outside. With Easton walking more now he likes to walk up and down steps with someone as you can see from the video below.

Easton's teeth have been coming in pretty fast over the past months as well. He has four on top and three on the bottom. He has also started eating lots and lots of big people food. And we finally found a meat he likes to eat, ground beef with spaghetti sauce. He has been eating very well over the past little while and is now at 20 lbs at 14 months.

This past Saturday was his last swimming class for this session and he received a little certificate. Tami and I are planning on enrolling him in the fall session too when it comes up. The last class he had so much fun he didn't want to leave. I'm sure he can't wait to start again in the fall. Besides walking, eating, swimming and playing outside he seems to have switched up he sleeping schedule on us a bit too. He now goes to bed between 8:00-8:30 and wakes us up at 6:30-7:00. Still not too bad. When he wakes up though, as soon as we take him out of the crib he wants to go down on the floor and then crawls into the kitchen for his breakfast. He's even at the point know where he'll stand by his high chair and shake it when he wants breakfast, lunch or supper.

Just this weekend too we thought Easton said a few words. There were Tami, myself and my mom standing around when Tami asked Easton if he wanted some of his water. He quickly replied "yup" which caught all of us off guard. We also think he said the word "ball", but were not sure if this is the start of him talking or just some random sounds he's throwing out. Well take care and we'll see you in a month.
