Easton Update: July 18, 2006

Good morning!

How many times can you start off by saying, "Well, another month has flown by"? Apparently one more. :-) Easton is now 15 months old and getting ever closer to the year and a half mark. With the weather being as nice as it is he wants to spend most of his time outside. Even on the very hot days we have to coax him inside (or just pick him up) as we don't want to have him outside for too long on those 34+ degree days. As you can see in some of the pictures below Tami bought him a little play structure with a slide. She got it at a garage sale one day and dragged it home in the rain. Good thing Easton likes playing on it.

Easton has got walking around mastered and has started the ever popular baby running phase. Sure he still walks around but sometimes he really gets those legs going. He also gets so excited when he sees the cats (Sasha & Stardust) that he lets out this dolphin pitched scream. The cats have also been nice enough to let Easton hug them. Which is suprising since they used to run away from him. I guess it's just a natural progression as Easton and the cats get used to each other.

We also gave Easton his very own baby sized soft ice cream cone this past weekend. He did very well with it, only dropping it once as soon as we gave it to him. After that, all was good. He even ate the cone after he softened it in his mouth for a few minutes. Tami and Easton made it out to a cabin with her mom's group this month too. Tami said he enjoyed the beach and playing in the sand and water. We definitely need to get a little pool for him.

Easton also seems to be getting more interested in what things are, always pointing things out he wants to see. He always wants to be picked up when Tami is making supper, so he can see what's going on on top of the counter. He still only has mama and dada in his vocabulary but Tami and I think he's just saving up for one day when he tells us "to buy beer and popcorn" with our Universal Child Care Benefit cheques. :-) Which by the way are going into my PlayStation 3 fund. Just kiddin'.

See you all next month and take care,
Mark
