Easton Update: July 18, 2007

It's been another busy month. Easton turns 27 months today, or what we've been generalizing as "2 years old" now. He has also started at a home day care which took him a couple weeks to get used to. But now he walks in all by himself. With only a little bit of whining when we say it's time to go to day care in the morning.

He so acts like a teenager in the morning too (or from what I can remember when I was a teenager). This morning Tami went in to his room to wake him up. He was actually already up, and gestured to Tami to stop at the doorway. Letting her know that it wasn't time to get up yet. Then he wanted 5 more minutes of sleep. I can only see this getting worse when he gets into the teens.

He also likes to watch Mighty Machines when he's not playing outside in the park. When he started watching Mighty Machines he only wanted to watch the "In The Snowstorm" episode. We watched that so much it was ridiculous. Finally we were able to switch him to "Deep Underground", which is a episode about a salt mine. After about a 100 times of that one we got him to move onto "Trucks, Trucks, Trucks". Only time will tell what's next.

Easton and I play at the park everyday after we get home from work while Tami makes supper. Then usually he wants to go to the park again after supper. He'd probably even go to the park in the moring if there was time. But that's o.k. since we have to enjoy it while the weather has been so nice.

Oh, forgot one thing. We went on a little road trip to Regina at the end of June for his Great Grandmother's 90th birthday. He was pretty good on the 6-7 hour car ride. Usually sleeping for half and the other half Tami was reading him stories. Once we got to the hotel we checked out the swimming pool and Easton liked to use the card swipe in the elevator or open the hotel room door.

Take care,
Mark, Tami and Easton
