Easton Update: August 20, 2006

Well I'm a couple days late with Easton's update but believe me we've been busy. I had a week off at the end of July and spent the week with Easton. At the same time Tami was off in Vancouver for work for a few days, which meant that Easton and I got some really good quality time together. Of course he wore me down with a constant barage of GO, GO, GO!!! Which basically means that he wanted to do something every single minute of the day. My only reprieve was when he took a nap in the afternoon. It was fun but I was sure glad when Tami got back from Vancouver.

Easton loves to go for walks all the time. Only now instead of being pushed in the stroller he likes to walk along beside us as we stroll around Riverbend. He even directs us where to go by pointing which street he wants to go down when we get to an intersection. Tami's sister Andrea and her fiancé Gord had their engagement party at Gord's parent's cabin. Easton got to have a lot of fun running around and playing in the water. Tami even bought him this blue bathing suit with built in floatation "bricks". As to can see from the pictures below it doesn't get more cute than that.

Tami said she sees some more teeth coming in (molars) but we haven't seen him super cranky yet although he seems to be drooling a little more. He hasn't begun talking yet, but he does know what a lot of stuff in the house is. We can ask him where the microwave is and he'll point to it. Or Tami will ask him to get something (say a balloon) and he'll go and pick it up. My mom even says that if something rolls under the couch that he wants he'll go get his little hockey stick and use it to get the toy. We can't wait until he starts trying to talk big people words. Take care.
