Easton Update: December 18, 2005

Easton turns 8 months old today. Everything has been going really well lately. Although he still likes to wake up once a night to get something to eat. It's just too bad for Tami that he can't just go to the kitchen and take something out of the fridge himself. It's actually 2:40 AM right now and I had just tried to put Easton to sleep for the past 40 minutes to no avail. So I passed him over to Tami. I figured I could work on updating his site since I'm up. Easton is now a rolling monster. He rolls around a lot playing with his toys. He also crawls (and I use that term loosely) backwards. It's more of a slide or a scooch, but he still manages to cover a lot of ground downstairs.

He also has been very good at sitting up by himself lately. He's sat up unassisted for 15 minutes once, and enjoys playing with his toys in front of him. He likes picking things up and passing them back and forth between hands. He does this wrist curl thing as well when he has a toy in his hand. The funny thing is that at the same time his empty hand is doing the same thing. Another thing he has been doing lately is what looks like trying to touch his tongue to his nose. Don't ask us why, but it's very cute. With it being near Christmas time Tami took Easton to Garden City Mall to see Santa. I must say that the picture turned out really well. And I'm not just saying that because Easton is in it. :-)

It's been a long eight months that seem to have gone by in a flash. Easton has grown so much since we brought him home. At only five pounds to a staggering 16 pounds, we have a hard time remembering just how small he was. I find myself time to time thinking back to when he was in the hospital and when he came home, to envisioning what the next months and years have in store for us. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
